The chemin of St Guilhem

L'histoire du Chemin de Saint Guihlhem

From the mountains of Aubrac
to the garrigues of Languedoc

Each season, the shepherds drove their animals from the dry garrigues to the fresh and green pastures of the Aubrac. But the path of Saint Guilhem is also an itinerary used since the Middle Ages by pilgrims, who made the detour to the abbey of Gellone to collect themselves in front of the relics of the Holy Cross and saint Guilhem, before continuing towards Santiago de Compostela or Rome.
